Winter Activities

We offer three multi-day snowmobile tours: 2 days / 1 night (minimum 4 guests), 3 days / 2 nights and 5 days / 4 nights. These all-inclusive tours are available from early December until late March. These tours are exclusive - your group will be the only group booked on any given dates. Except for the 2-day tour, the minimum is 2 people with a maximum of 6. In addition to having an excellent opportunity to see the Northern Lights, you will also snowmobile, ice-fish, snowshoe and more. You will experience northern bush living with experienced guides who were born and raised in the Yukon.

Our winter tours are fully guided and all-inclusive. We supply all of the equipment and gear necessary to provide you with a comfortable winter experience: guides, transportation, snowmobiles, all meals while with us, cabin accommodations and bedding. You only have to bring your personal gear, winter outerwear, alcohol (if desired) and a fishing license. We work with a local outerwear rental company and if needed, will arrange for your clothing rental in advance of your arrival in Whitehorse.

Tour Prices 2018/2019

On all tours, you will be picked up at your hotel at 9:30 AM on your first day. We drive approximately one hour to the trail-head where we unload the snowmobiles. You will be given hands-on instruction on how to properly and safely operate a snowmobile. If you have no previous snowmobile experience and are not comfortable driving one, you will be a passenger with one of our guides. We then travel north to the cabins through some beautiful country. We’ll stop on the way for a hot beverage and some lunch. After arrival at the cabins, we’ll get the cabins warmed up, cut a hole through the ice for water and do a few other chores. We’ll show you the best place to see the Northern Lights, we now have a newly constructed heated viewing shack, perfectly located looking towards the northern sky. After a hearty northern supper, we’ll tell you about the country and share stories related to the area that we are living in. The following days will consist of more Northern Lights viewing, snowmobiling, ice-fishing and snow-shoeing. A complete detailed daily itinerary can be emailed to you upon booking. We will get you back to your hotel by 5PM on the last day of your tour. Please note that the availability and timing of all activities is influenced by the weather and temperatures and will be at the guides’ discretion.
